Balada
In this village about ten people live in a stable way. It is located between Sant Jaume d’Enveja and Amposta, in fact the dividing line is marked by the main street, San Cristòfol, where the houses and the patios are lined up, and which leads to the pier. The river extends in front of this esplanade from where you can see the fluvial island of Gracia and where the fluvial path that has some of the best corners in this area passes by.
River path
Balada is a stage of the GR 99, known as the Ebro Nature Trail, a long-distance path that starts in Fontibre, where the great river is born, and goes to its mouth.
To the Balada pier the old towpath passes and it is a good point to make kayak excursions along the river.
The Ballad oleander
The Balada oleander is the sign of identity of this small urban centre, it is believed that its toponymy comes from this monumental tree, its size is extraordinary especially if we take into account that it is a bush. It has a total height of eight meters, the widest part of the trunk measures sixty centimeters and the crown, seven meters.
